Do You *LOVE* Buttons?!?

I do! I was chugging through the Giveaway Day lists again over at Sew, Mama, Sew and I happened upon a blog.... "Works in Progress" and she is giving away some awesome vintage type buttons! How could you go wrong? If I could just win these buttons I would be a mighty happy camper!

In the Jungle....Kitten Mischief Volume #4

This is where I found the kitten today. In. My. Plant. Yes, the plant is looking a little raggedy...I guess I need to pluck off a few dead leaves. I wasn't real happy to find the kitten here, though. Any of the other plants, I wouldn't have been happy either, but especially this one b/c it holds memories. Maybe I'll type about that another day.

Because I Have Nothing Else to Blog About

This is the little tough guy who gets into so much trouble in our house. You'd think he'd be grateful that we gave him a home, but not so much.

The dog doesn't get up to much mischief in her "old age" (she's really only 4 1/2). But the kitten does like to hassle her and she will play with him. Often I hear them playing when we all go to bed and I will look down and see the kitten attached to the dog's head (just haven't managed to capture a photo of that one, yet).

The kitten also like to go outside, but can not be trusted to actually stay in the yard, so we have a little harness for him and we hook him to a chain in the back yard for small amounts of time.

This was the scene in the back yard one night this past week. I assure you, they are playing, and no harm came to the kitten.

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to Us! It's crazy how the time flies by so quickly. Our plans are to go shopping for flowers to plant in my outdoors pots and to have a nice dinner at home!

It's a foot.....

...and it is inside my first ever complete knitted sock! Woo hoo! Now on to the matching sock!

It may not be perfect (okay, I know for a fact it is not perfect!), but I am still darn proud! I managed to finish it and it looks pretty nice for a new knitter's first sock!

Slow and Steady.....

will not win a sock making race....but it will help me get closer to actually completing my first knit sock.

I took this photo earlier, and I have actually made about another 3/4 in. progress since then. Having never knit socks before, I'm not sure how much longer I need to keep knitting until I start the toe portion. Probably at least another inch or inch and a half. We'll see, I guess.

I want to get a pair finished so that I can move on to a new sock pattern!
