This is the third dishcloth that I have completed since 2010 began, and I've got another that is about 1/2 finished. You can find the pattern at
Knit Dishcloth Corner. The patterns are listed in French and then most of them are translated into English beneath that. I printed off several that I plan to try. The name of this one is Torsades and is under the "initié" section.
This is the first time that I ever knit cables. I did not find it to be all that hard, actually. I didn't have a cable needle, but I made do with a spare needle I had. It turned out pretty good. I think it would look better if I blocked it. However, I plan to keep it for myself so I probably will not bother.

I have a silly question - but I have to say, first - I LOVE that dishcloth. SO pretty - but my question is - [I don't knit] but does it make sense to block that?
It is going to get wet repeatedly and hung to dry ...so the point of blocking would be.....?
Just curious. As I said, I don't knit, just love all the projects I see [and I received a few dishclothes from Gizmo!!!! I love them]
Take care, nice job.
Your cloth turned out beautifully. Thanks for the link to that website. I hadn't been there before and she has some very nice patterns.
Good job on your first cables! They look so much fiercer than they really are, but oh the satisfaction of seeing them come to life!
Hi Sally,
I love your little dishcloth! I know what you mean about cables, they are definitely much easier once you tackle them and realize their not really hard at all! I too, don't have a cable needle and just a spare dpn. It looks great! And there is something so delicious in using your own handmade item. I love it!
Sally, you wish you could quilt & I wish I could knit! Someday right? This is a beautiful dishcloth. I love the cables. Thanks for entering my giveaway!
