I was surfing around on the net the other day,
probably definitely avoiding school work and/or house work. I've read other posts about the
Pioneer Woman, well I should say that I know I definitely read some posts where people mentioned being delighted that they received her cookbook for Christmas. I really don't know much else about her, but somehow I made it to her website the other day and started reading through some of the cooking posts. There were so many that sound unbelieveably delicious, but at the same time I acknowledge I could not eat that way all the time. But, I wanted to try the
apple dumplings.
If you are looking for low calorie, don't even bother following the link because you will just be disappointed. However, if you feel like living dangerously, just follow that link! Seriously delicious!
I just finished eating my serving and I can't even tell you how yummy they were. My husband loved them, too. I'm not saying I won't go into a sugar coma over night, but at least my tummy will be happy! As an added bonus, the recipe is super simple.

Oh! I will definitely be giving these a try.
I received her cookbook too - not that I want to cook like her, no way - there isn't a single thing that woman makes that is good for you, but then again 99.9% of the population do not work as physically hard as her family and they need the fat and calories her recipes provide.
Her cookbook is cute reading. Recipes are set up funny so to make them a little hard to follow in a conventional manner, but the pics are fabulous.
