Oh I love your pouch! I've been following the Happy Little Pouch Hop too and have found so many I want to make! I'm a sucker for anything with gathers and ruffles :) Now I just need more time in every day, I want to give up sleeping, but it's making me sort of tired ;) I'm trying hard to think of something interesting to tell you, but have so far been called away from this short reply twice, once for rice cakes and once for dry cereal (it's nearly 5pm...), my toddler is making it hard to concentrate!

This week Today is Sew Mama Sew Giveaway "Day"!  If you have never experienced this giveaway day, head on over and see what it's all about.

I haven't participated for a couple of times now.  Of course, I didn't realize it was coming up so soon and nearly missed it!

I'll be giving away this gathered coin purse that I am making from a pattern in the most recent Stitch Gifts magazine.  I saw it on Charise's blog (she's the pattern designer) and had to run out and buy the magazine just for her pattern.

Plus, I've really been inspired to make a lot of pouches this past week, since my friend Emily is co-hosting the Happy Little Pouch Hop.  Never mind that I really need to be finishing up some Christmas gifts....

So, this clutch is a work in progress... (I took a nap yesterday, and then didn't have time to finish the pouch before I went to bed):

I will definitely finish this up as soon as I get home from work this afternoon and then post a completed photo!  Done! It'll be even cuter when I finish it up and take some decent photos (battery was dead in good camera this morning, too!)

ugh! Blogger is not letting me upload a new photo right now...but I'll get it on here as soon as it lets me.

This giveaway is open to all readers, since I will ship internationally.  PLEASE (I can't stress this enough...) make sure that you are not a "no-reply" commenter.  If you are not sure, please read this link. You would be really sad if I pulled your name and then had no way to contact you and tell you that you are the winner. ETA: I have already had multiple no-reply commenters with no link to a blog or any way to get in touch with them...this makes me sad :( The giveaway will stay open until Friday, Dec. 7, after I am home from work (which means sometime after 3:30PM CST).

I'll make this really simple.  One comment per person, please.  Tell me something about yourself or a funny story... something to make reading the comments through my day a little more interesting.  While you are here, if you feel so inclined, take a look around at my other blog posts.

Thanks for visiting!  I hope you'll stay a while!

Something interesting, wow I have a fairly dull life ...I married the same man twice, 20 years apart, at our second wedding we had over 100,000 guests and were married in a gas station.

If you have 6 hours to make 2 clutches using 7" zippers and 1 coin purse with a 5" zipper, given the fact you have 13 different fabric combos to pick from, how much coffee will you drink? (And I bet you thought it was a math problem!!)

I'm an empty nester just beginning to be able to play. I'm switching my sewing room right now (bad timing!), and in the middle of quite a mess as I try to declutter and organize. Can't wait 'til it's done, and I have space to play!

So, I don't have anything too interesting to tell you expect that I read a couple of the others comments and thought they were pretty interesting. Getting married at a gas station doesn't exactly happen everyday.

I'm Melissa from Mel's Daisy Patch. I love to crochet, cross stitch and embroidery. I have two children. 1 boy and 1 girl. The funny thing is, my husband and I are 6 years apart in age and so are our kids. Plus we were married for 6 years when our daughter came along. And to top it off. My husband was 30 when we had our daughter and I was 30 when we had our son. Okay that was a long something. Hope it was interesting enough. If I win this will be a gift for my daughter. Her favorite colors are pink and yellow.

a funny story? Geez, that's a lot of pressure Sally! I'm not terribly funny most of the time. My son is funny, not sure where he got it, not from me! He talks about me on his radio show all the time and his stories are REALLY funny! maybe he should enter the giveaway?

Oh lovely - it will be even better when finished :) Ok - funny thing (gotta share it about my dog!!). My dog, who is now 7 1/2, has developed a fear of the canned laughter on the tv. He hates it and it is only recently thathe reacts to it. He disappears outside and will pop his head in teh dog flap and starte at me, hoping that the program is finished. Poor fella.

Something funny? well, does this count, I needed a new stool at work, 'cos an old lady wee'd on mine, so I ordered one, the right size, in black.
'Sorry, black is out of stock, we can send a red one straight away'
Well, I do not mind, black/ red, I can sit on it!
It arrived promptly. We put it together. It is Tall! Like really tall. At its shortest it is half way up my thigh, and when tallest? I cannot get onto it. I would need a ladder! And to drop it from its tallest? I have to lie across it, little legs kicking out behind, to apply pressure to let it down!
Woops!

Nice clutch!

One year I made a purse, intending to give it to my mom. It ended up being so goofy and fat and fluffy that I gave it to my 2 year old daughter to play with. Cute for a 2 year old, not so much for a 50 year old woman.

I was late too with my giveaway, though I was late and, you know, forgot to order one part of it. Well, I didn't forget, exactly, I just couldn't make up my mind! But I had to decide because it takes 2 weeks to ship up here before I can ship it away to its new home!

Today was a slow-brain sort of day. It still is...

Fun fabric!
So, I made the cutest I Spy quilt for my daughters daycare for Christmas. It's a good size throw blanket along with a set of matching charms so they can play a matching game. My 19 month old loves it and every time I try to finish the binding she grabs it and wants to play. Hopefully I get it finished in time.
I'm looking forward to reading through your blog.

So cute! You did a great job, as usual. I think the first time I found you was through Sew, Mama, Sew. A funny story? Every night my 3 y.o. gives her sister (8) a kiss on the cheek and demands that the 8 y.o. give her a kiss on the cheek too. Every night they get into an argument because the 8 y.o. wants to give her a regular kiss and the 3 y.o. insists on her cheek (stemming from the one time she had a cold). My life - non-stop hilarity. Happy Monday!

I have fabric issues. If I buy fabric just because I think it is pretty, I find it hard...next to impossible to cut it up and make something out of it. What if I make the wrong thing out of it? For instance, what if I made it into a clutch, but then later I realize that it was really supposed to be made into a skirt for my daughter? I have at time sat with scissors in hand poised to cut out a project...and paused just long enough to change my mind.

something to make reading comments nice for you hmm .. I'm watching the town get snowed in (well it's barely 5 cm of snow) but for people here, not used to snow - it's about the same as 5 meters of snow. Snow ploughs - hmm haven't seen one today, public transport, running really really late (if buses come at all). Car drivers suddenly realizing , oops you can't break like you usually do on snow, and no chance to do a fast start. Ahh they will learn. And of course I'm enjoying watching the car drivers watch me with fascination when I ride my bicycle through the snow - did I mention they are not used to snow here?
Ohh and I really really do love snow. So maybe people here will get to their senses and actually start clearing sidewalks - which seems to be a strange concept here.
