And #95 is:
This week
I haven't participated for a couple of times now. Of course, I didn't realize it was coming up so soon and nearly missed it!
I'll be giving away this gathered coin purse that I am making from a pattern in the most recent Stitch Gifts magazine. I saw it on Charise's blog (she's the pattern designer) and had to run out and buy the magazine just for her pattern.
Plus, I've really been inspired to make a lot of pouches this past week, since my friend Emily is co-hosting the Happy Little Pouch Hop. Never mind that I really need to be finishing up some Christmas gifts....
This giveaway is open to all readers, since I will ship internationally. PLEASE (I can't stress this enough...) make sure that you are not a "no-reply" commenter. If you are not sure, please read this link. You would be really sad if I pulled your name and then had no way to contact you and tell you that you are the winner. ETA: I have already had multiple no-reply commenters with no link to a blog or any way to get in touch with them...this makes me sad :( The giveaway will stay open until Friday, Dec. 7, after I am home from work (which means sometime after 3:30PM CST).
I'll make this really simple. One comment per person, please. Tell me something about yourself or a funny story... something to make reading the comments through my day a little more interesting. While you are here, if you feel so inclined, take a look around at my other blog posts.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you'll stay a while!

Something interesting, wow I have a fairly dull life ...I married the same man twice, 20 years apart, at our second wedding we had over 100,000 guests and were married in a gas station.
If you have 6 hours to make 2 clutches using 7" zippers and 1 coin purse with a 5" zipper, given the fact you have 13 different fabric combos to pick from, how much coffee will you drink? (And I bet you thought it was a math problem!!)
Great fabric choices! :) I'm Michelle, owner/designer/dreamer behind Daydream Believers Designs. I'm also a Kindergarten teacher, wife, and mom to two fabulously fun little girls. Baby #3 (our first BOY) is due this spring! I love to sew, design, and read. I dislike cooking dinner, folding laundry, and strawberries. :)
Happy day!

I'm an empty nester just beginning to be able to play. I'm switching my sewing room right now (bad timing!), and in the middle of quite a mess as I try to declutter and organize. Can't wait 'til it's done, and I have space to play!
Thanks for the sweet giveaway! Something interesting about me- I'm a research scientist who studies mouse models of human eye disease!
cute giveaway! I guess the most interesting thing about me right now is my family is preparing to move to Germany from the states in the next month.. I guess I better start my German lessons..
So, I don't have anything too interesting to tell you expect that I read a couple of the others comments and thought they were pretty interesting. Getting married at a gas station doesn't exactly happen everyday.
I'm Melissa from Mel's Daisy Patch. I love to crochet, cross stitch and embroidery. I have two children. 1 boy and 1 girl. The funny thing is, my husband and I are 6 years apart in age and so are our kids. Plus we were married for 6 years when our daughter came along. And to top it off. My husband was 30 when we had our daughter and I was 30 when we had our son. Okay that was a long something. Hope it was interesting enough. If I win this will be a gift for my daughter. Her favorite colors are pink and yellow.
hm, i'm a jersey girl living in hawaii for the time being enjoying life! thanks for the chance
Something about myself...
Thanks to you, I checked whether I was a no reply - and I was! I have now amended my profile. No wonder I never win anything.
Big hugs
a funny story? Geez, that's a lot of pressure Sally! I'm not terribly funny most of the time. My son is funny, not sure where he got it, not from me! He talks about me on his radio show all the time and his stories are REALLY funny! maybe he should enter the giveaway?
Oh lovely - it will be even better when finished :) Ok - funny thing (gotta share it about my dog!!). My dog, who is now 7 1/2, has developed a fear of the canned laughter on the tv. He hates it and it is only recently thathe reacts to it. He disappears outside and will pop his head in teh dog flap and starte at me, hoping that the program is finished. Poor fella.
Hi, I'm Snoodles from Lilypadquilting....something funny? Well, I have two helpers at my blog, one is a frog, and the other is a dragon. LOL Love your fabrics - it will be cute when it's done!
You are too funny!
Been sewing for a couple of years but really busy with the kids- love every little thing I learn- just used fusible interfacing for the first time, just completed my first patch work table runner!

Today made me happy because my husband made me breakfast. :)
interesting story? My husband and I had 8 sets of twins last year! We raise cattle. ;)
I'm expecting my first baby in March. A little girl.
What a cutie patootie little purse! I just started dying my own fabric. FUN FUN FUN!!!
In my twenties I appeared. On an episode of the show "In The Heat of The Night" with Carroll O'Connor (of Archie Bunker fame) and Harold Rollins. I also worked as a private investigator.
Thanks for the lovely giveaway and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Something interesting: I live in an apartment with three other girls, all of whom have the same birthday and two have the same name! (it gets a little confusing sometimes!)
Something interesting about me hmmmm.... I lived in Ireland for 7 years and really loved living there.
Thank you for a great giveaway.
I once walked all the way across a wedding reception with my skirt tucked way up in my underwear. We're talking one cheek in and one cheek out. Yep, I'm super classy. :)

Nothing too interesting for me....I'm a Civil Engineer....not too many of us women in this field!!
Wonderful giveaway. I'm spending this evening at high school orientation for my baby - where does the time go??? I'll be participating in Giveaway Day with tears in my eyes! Many thanks!

Something funny? well, does this count, I needed a new stool at work, 'cos an old lady wee'd on mine, so I ordered one, the right size, in black.
'Sorry, black is out of stock, we can send a red one straight away'
Well, I do not mind, black/ red, I can sit on it!
It arrived promptly. We put it together. It is Tall! Like really tall. At its shortest it is half way up my thigh, and when tallest? I cannot get onto it. I would need a ladder! And to drop it from its tallest? I have to lie across it, little legs kicking out behind, to apply pressure to let it down!
Woops!
I love to stand in the rain and feel it in my face
:-)

Nice clutch!
One year I made a purse, intending to give it to my mom. It ended up being so goofy and fat and fluffy that I gave it to my 2 year old daughter to play with. Cute for a 2 year old, not so much for a 50 year old woman.
I was late too with my giveaway, though I was late and, you know, forgot to order one part of it. Well, I didn't forget, exactly, I just couldn't make up my mind! But I had to decide because it takes 2 weeks to ship up here before I can ship it away to its new home!
Today was a slow-brain sort of day. It still is...

I love wire wrapping till my fingers hurt!!
And then complain about it all day
:-)

I know this isn't a big deal to anyone but me, but my dog learned to crawl through a tunnel today! I'm proud of my boy. Thanks for the chance to win! akmajor (at) gmail (dot) com
I love to read. I love to read a lot! I also love to crochet. I love to sew but am not great yet lol.
Interesting--or peculiar? I was born in Switzerland, amongst the alps...moved to Canada as a child, and now live in NW Ontario, where it's winter about 8 months of the year--and I don't like the cold! Don't ski...don't snowmobile...don't ice-skate.

I collect 4 & 5 leaf clovers
Love this! Thanks for the giveaway! Something interesting....I am one of nine kids! (My Mom is one of ten!).
Something about me? I dislike orange food. Yes, all of it. No, I like the color orange. Really. It's not about the color. It just so happens that all orange food tastes bad. I think it's from the devil, but that's just me. ;o)
Such a cute wristlet. Something funny- I don't know. I have three girls and two girl yellow labs- Stella and Luna (separated by 12 years). Thanks for participating in the giveaway day.
Love the Clutch! I am currently working up the courage to start my first quilt!! Thanks for the giveaway! Amy @ gasudimack(at)sbcglobal(dot)net
What a cute pouch!
I'm a mom of a 6yo boy and a 3yo girl. We're getting ready to fly 9000 miles, 24 hours, to visit my family. Best part is, they're wonderful travel buddies, they never complain about how long the flight is. It's wonderful!

That is so adorable! My kiddos are obsessed with turtles!
Fun fabric!
So, I made the cutest I Spy quilt for my daughters daycare for Christmas. It's a good size throw blanket along with a set of matching charms so they can play a matching game. My 19 month old loves it and every time I try to finish the binding she grabs it and wants to play. Hopefully I get it finished in time.
I'm looking forward to reading through your blog.
HI I'm emily and i am addicted to AMH fabric, tiny piecing, and making pouches. :) hehe you already knew that! I LOVE this pouch! It's so awesome! Was it hard to make?
So cute! You did a great job, as usual. I think the first time I found you was through Sew, Mama, Sew. A funny story? Every night my 3 y.o. gives her sister (8) a kiss on the cheek and demands that the 8 y.o. give her a kiss on the cheek too. Every night they get into an argument because the 8 y.o. wants to give her a regular kiss and the 3 y.o. insists on her cheek (stemming from the one time she had a cold). My life - non-stop hilarity. Happy Monday!
What a cute pouch!
My cat likes to randomly run in circles. She doesn't chase her tail or anything.. she's just weird. ;)
Adorable pouch! I love the ruffles. Try not to stress about the no reply blogger thing too much - I've realized over the years that it seems like there's some people who will never get it, unfortunately.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Thank you for making it open to all. Much appreciated. Those ruffles are so very pretty.
Thanks for the giveaway! I started sewing/quilting about a year ago after I was laid off from my job. My sister is my biggest fan as she has commissioned 3 quilts from me (she is also my only customer thus far). wonderlandbyalyce(at)gmail(dot)com
Hahaha, I like all the strikethroughs. I was with a friend over in Europe and we were having fun looking at all of the small little shops and the goods. Now they were all closed so we couldn't go in. At one shop my friend really liked the jewelry so she quickly leaned in to see it better and ThwaaCK*! Yep, forehead right into the glass. A little too much excitement :)
That is a gorgeous bag! I love it. :)
Hmm..something about me.. I can play ONE song on the banjo. Camp Town Races...oh yes! :)

My interesting thing, I am eating cereal while I enter giveaways. Then I will hop in my car and go do some mystery shops for some Christmas cash. So my interesting thing is that I'm a mystery shopper.
Super cute giveaway! Hm...my mother-in-law is not a joke teller so she has about 3 she has memorized to tell over and over again:
Why was six afraid of seven - Because seven ate nine!
The other one may not be appropriate to leave in a comment! But trust me it's cute!
I am a mom of 6 (plus many that call me Mom) Maama (grandmother) of 2 with one on the way. Have been umemployed and looking for work for 3 years. I, obviously, love giveaways :)

thanks for the chance to win. jjjcwebb at hotmail dot com
I am a Family and Consumer Science teacher in a high school and I find it to be my mission to teach the current generation to sew! A lot of programs have taken out the sewing portions, but not me. I teach it in my entry level class for freshman and I have three levels of Fashion and Interior design classes. I love going to school each day and sewing with my students. This would be a cute project for my twos and threes to complete. Thanks for the opportunity!

I am a PhD candidate in Chemistry!
Crafting is my therapy, not sure it's funny but it makes me happy!!!! Thanks for the giveaway!!!!
I have fabric issues. If I buy fabric just because I think it is pretty, I find it hard...next to impossible to cut it up and make something out of it. What if I make the wrong thing out of it? For instance, what if I made it into a clutch, but then later I realize that it was really supposed to be made into a skirt for my daughter? I have at time sat with scissors in hand poised to cut out a project...and paused just long enough to change my mind.
i love making little bags, but have never tried ruffles. so pretty.
I don't know if it is interesting but here goes... I am a Southerner and only drink UNsweet tea. I get teased about it all the time. Southeners are supposed to drink sweet tea. VERY sweet.
My name is Joyce and I am a fabric addict! And I am also crazy about any kind of bag. Love this one!
mommy to 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl. Getting my etsy business off the ground...doing pretty good.
My kids caught me talking baby talk to the cat a few years ago and without letting on, they video taped me. Now they remind me on a regular basis, by repeating in a baby voice, the silly names I was calling the cat. I sounded like a total and complete freaky old CATLADY! Feel free to laugh :D
Cute bag - can't your pouches (for the hop) also be Christmas gifts? Most of the bags I made for the hop are gifts, and I'm getting a bit tired of making bags now! That's something I never thought I would say, LOL!
Great giveaway, thanks for the chance to win! :) I'm a homeschooling mom to 4 with #5 due in just a few weeks, this very tired mama needs a break this Christams, lol!

I am from Malaysia :D
I love your handmade bag.
Super cute! Hmmm...something about myself...I'm slightly crazy, I love crafting, and I am wearing yellow pants because that's bound to make the day better. jinglesells at gmail dot com
I agree with you on the no-reply commentors. Well, we can try and stress how important it is to have an email linked... better chance for you and I to win, that's how I look at it! I am a SAHM to twin boys age 3.5 and my baby girl age 1. I love to quilt, sew, scrapbook, garden, and have way too many hobbies! I once had over 100 orchids (before my boys were born... I am down to 1 now).
How cute! I sew bags and pouches and have never seen this pattern...lovely...and I love the colors too.
Thanks for offering such a sweet little giveaway treat. =) I'd be very happy to win. I don't often get things for myself...I do occasionally make them, but usually I gift everything away. I'd be very joyful to win.
What an adorable little pouch! I'm in the process of finishing a purse for my mom that I started last Christmas. I'm a very slow sewer. : (
I'm also hosting a giveway on my blog. Please stop by if you'd like. : )
Love the pouch! something interesting... I'm #4 of 11 children... and I've adopted all 6 of my own children!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Something interesting? I can trace my family history back to King Edward 1st!!
my 20 month old daughter just recently had her 1st cookie, which she lovingly refers to as "caca". I crack up EVERY single time. "caca caca caca!" ROTFLMAO!
Your pouch is so cute! I love to sew purses and bags and skirts and dresses for little girls.
Every day my daughter cuddles in bed with me. Today we were talking about her birthday which is just before Christmas. She mentioned that in just five more years she will be a teenager. ARGH!!! oh how I wish the years didn't go by so fast. I love having a 7 (almost 8) year old.
my nephew has a tough time saying his 'k' sound, and replaced it with the 't' sound. When we finished walking through the pet food isle in the store he threw a little fit because he wanted to see the doggies and the .... well it was rather embarrassing. Hope you had a great day and thank you for the great giveaway! mynojo (at) gmail (dot) com
Tomorrow my baby girl will be a week old. :D
My little girl is turning two this weekend so I made my first-ever batch of marshmallow fondant so I could try making little figures for her cake. This could either be a huge success or a complete and utter failure :)
I was a school cook for 14 years and helped make 3-4 thousand hot rolls 4 days out of 5, and helped make 6-7 thousand chocolate chip cookies 3 days out of 5. (I was 1 of 3 Bakers)
Something about me? Street lights turn off when I walk under them! How strange is that?! Thanks for the giveaway!
I hate ham so much that my sister-in-law will sometimes chase me around our mother-in-laws at Christmas trying to touch me with it.
An interesting thing about me... I am a beekeeper :)
something to make reading comments nice for you hmm .. I'm watching the town get snowed in (well it's barely 5 cm of snow) but for people here, not used to snow - it's about the same as 5 meters of snow. Snow ploughs - hmm haven't seen one today, public transport, running really really late (if buses come at all). Car drivers suddenly realizing , oops you can't break like you usually do on snow, and no chance to do a fast start. Ahh they will learn. And of course I'm enjoying watching the car drivers watch me with fascination when I ride my bicycle through the snow - did I mention they are not used to snow here?
Ohh and I really really do love snow. So maybe people here will get to their senses and actually start clearing sidewalks - which seems to be a strange concept here.
Great work!!! Love the colors and fabrics! Thanks so much for sharing!
Happy day!
Hugs from Portugal,

Oh I love your pouch! I've been following the Happy Little Pouch Hop too and have found so many I want to make! I'm a sucker for anything with gathers and ruffles :) Now I just need more time in every day, I want to give up sleeping, but it's making me sort of tired ;) I'm trying hard to think of something interesting to tell you, but have so far been called away from this short reply twice, once for rice cakes and once for dry cereal (it's nearly 5pm...), my toddler is making it hard to concentrate!
Hi there. The pouch fabrics look very nice. I think it is a very busy time right now for everyone. Life just seems way too crazy anymore. And add the holidays in and it really gets way too crazy. I am gonna try to start going to bed a little earlier in hope sit will help me deal with this holiday stress better.

I've lived in four countries in ten years.
there are only 19 days until Christmas that scares me a lot.
The Tomato family was taking a walk when Baby Tomato lagged behind. Daddy Tomato turned around and exclaimed, "Baby Tomato, ketchup!"
Ok. Something interesting... I just read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and you should look her up for a very interesting story!

Well, there is nothing interesting happening here lately. I'm potty training my daughter, so most of my life recently has been in the bathroom. I had no idea potty training was so exhausting.
