Kitten Mischief Volume #5 ...Am I in Trouble?

What? You didn't buy this lovely basket just so I could play with it??? I know you only paid $.75 for it at the Great American Yard Sale, so I didn't think you would mind. Look at my face...can't you see that I am apologizing?

Nightly Pet Head Count

Every night, my husband likes to have visual confirmation that all pets are in the house. Especially since the kitten does try to sneak out the door every time it is opened.

Last night, as I went to do the head count, I found the two older cats quickly and I knew the dog was under the bed. Well, when I didn't see Smokey, I decided to check under the bed again, just in case. This is what I found.

Our dog doesn't have a lot of patience for some things (like waiting to go for a walk, or to be let out), but apparently she likes having the kitten to play with since she allows this kind of situation to occur fairly frequently.

In the Jungle....Kitten Mischief Volume #4

This is where I found the kitten today. In. My. Plant. Yes, the plant is looking a little raggedy...I guess I need to pluck off a few dead leaves. I wasn't real happy to find the kitten here, though. Any of the other plants, I wouldn't have been happy either, but especially this one b/c it holds memories. Maybe I'll type about that another day.

How Do You Spoil Yourself?

This morning, Marie asked, "How do you spoil yourself?"

Well, this weekend I made a trip to the local yarn store :-) Through a series of events, we actually managed to get a tax return this year and it was waaay more than we thought it might be. (We usually have to pay since my husband owns his own business.) When we received our return, he said he was going to buy "x" (I don't really remember what it was). However, I quickly saw my opportunity and asked for some money to go to the yarn store!

This is what I came home with.

Some of the yarn is to use in the making of a birthday gift for a friend. The circular needles are needed for the gift, too, but they, at least will continue to keep giving. There are several different hanks of sock yarn in there, some Malabrigo, Cascade, and some Noro Silk Garden (for the gift).
If you look closely, you will see the naughty cat trying to steal some of my sock yarn!

Irrefutable Proof of Thievery...Kitten Mischief Volume #3

Last night, I prepared photo documentation for my husband regarding his kitten's activities. I had to chase the kitten off of the curio stand a minimum of four times. At first, he was looking in the fish tank (thankfully it has a full cover) trying to terrorize the poor fish. Then, he proceeded to make multiple attempts to steal away the fish food. The first time I was laughing too hard to take any photos. Then, it became and attempt to get some clear photos before he escaped the scene of the crime!

Kitten Mischief, Volume #2

This is what happened before I went to work this morning. Admittedly, the package of t.p. was not in the cabinet where it should be....but our linen closet already has to store so many things, that the t.p. package is usually too big and can never be stuffed into the closet until there are only a couple rolls left.

Well, I heard the rustling of the plastic this morning and managed to snap a couple photos of Smokey in the package. I walked away and didn't think about it anymore. A bit later I was checking my e-mail and heard the rustling again and just assumed that he was still playing in the package. WRONG! He was attempting to destroy several rolls of t.p.! I showed Tim this afternoon and he said, "Well, we can still use the t.p." I immediately thought, "He can be the one to use it all ripped up, then!"

I swear, I have never had a cat that manages so much mischief as this kitten does. Plus, as a bonus, now you all know what kind of t.p. I use!

Kitten Mischief

Do I really need to say anything else? I think the photos explain it all quite clearly :-)
