I have been home from work yesterday and today. Went to the Dr. yesterday and I tested positive for Influenza A . It's a lovely thing, I must say. What can I do about it? Nothing. Stay home. Treat the symptoms. Be miserable. When the "drugs" are working and my fever is down, I have been trying to get some things accomplished. Laundry. Knitting. Realized how dusty my bedside table was and cleaned it.
Yesterday, I washed all of my bedding in an effort to at least rid the bed of the flu germs that were already there. I replaced the quilt that was there with this one. This quilt was made for my husband and I as a wedding gift.
The name of the quilt is "Rosie" and it was made by Loretta. Loretta is the daughter of my neighbor from my whole childhood, Marie. Marie has always been a seamstress and a quilter and made some fabulous quilts and clothing. She also did tatting and other needlepoint crafts.
Marie is now pretty old and has dementia/Alzheimer's and Loretta lives with her and cares for her. She doesn't do any more crafting really. Loretta took the time, though, to make a quilt for my next younger brother when he married and then for my husband and I when we married. It's a wonderful gift that will always be treasured.

What a beautiful quilt. I love the rosy colors.
Hope you are feeling better soon. Treat yourself gently -- lots of tea with honey and lemon, lots of ice pops and some knitting and reading should help.
Hugs!
Thanks for the well wishes! I didn't think of ice pops...that sounds good right about now. I may have to send my husband to the store!
Flu bug! Yucky! Hope you are healthy and back on your feet by now. :)
