I just wanted to supply some visual proof of the fact that I AM making progress on the sock-a-long project. Please excuse the kitten paw in the photo. Tim asked me, "Why is Smokey in the photo?" The answer, "Because I couldn't take a photo and manage to keep him out of it." I think I have about an inch and a half of ribbing done so far. So, I need to do an inch to an inch and half more before I can start on part two.
In my defense, I have also been working on the following project:
It is going to be a small size toddler-type afghan for my niece. I was supposed to be a bunch of small granny square. Then, I realized that I would have to sew/stitch all of the squares together and then weave in all of the ends and I promptly modified my plan! I decided to just make one giant granny square. Then, I will just have to weave in all of the ends. I also plan to back the afghan with flannel or fleece in order to make it a bit more durable and less holey for little toddler fingers. It has to be finished by May 22-ish since that is her birthday!

Look at that beautiful cuff!!! Thanks for the encouragement over at SWB, :) I'm back at it and have moved onto the heel. it's becoming more doable with each row.
I love it! You are making great progress. BTW, about slipping the first stitch... slip it knitwise on the RS rows and purlwise on the WS rows. Hope that makes sense. Good luck with the rest of your sock! You're doing fabulous!
I love your afghan! It is beautiful, how's it coming along? I've just barely learned to crochet and I'd love to do more of it, but don't fully know what I'm doing. I like the look of this and it's cool that it's a giant granny square, I think I can do this. Very pretty, I like your color choices. :)
