I just finished this little "blanket buddy" about 5 minutes ago. The pattern comes from the Lion Brand Yarn website. You may have to register to be able to get to the pattern, but it is FREE!
I tried, at first, to make it with the Velvet Spun yarn but I found that yarn really difficult to work with. So, I switched to Berroco Comfort, instead and then actually used 2 strands throughout. I really like how this turned out, size-wise. Although, the next one I make, I will just choose a chunky yarn and not double strand it.
As I was browsing through some ravelry projects to see what others had done with the blanket buddy pattern, I came across a really cool tweaked version of this pattern turning the bunny into an owl. I loved how MJ did that. I loved it so much, I'm going to add her to my list of favorite websites, so that I can go back and see what else she is up to!
