A One Day (Afternoon) Project

This Grocery Bag Dispenser really was a quick and simple project. I pretty much love the way it turned out.

I wish that you could see all of the different fabrics.  I just did not have time to take that many photos because our dinner was ready (very delicious!).  The fabric line is Hunky Dory by Chez Moi for Moda.  Granted, I did not buy a whole fat quarter bundle. I purchased a little charm pack, but the link will give you a little visual of sorts for the variety of fabric that is available in the line.

The project also allowed me to practice my stipple quilting skills, which was the whole point.  I didn't do too bad...my lines ran over each other at a couple spots and there were some pointy turns.  It gave me the idea, though and let me get the feel of my machine and how it all works together.  I may even get set up for My Paris Traveler's Bag tonight.  The material actually gets quilted prior to the pieces being cut.  It sounds like a good idea to me.

I love the look of stippling. And the colors in that are fun!

This is so pretty! How I wish I could quilt. This would be a great way for me to use up some of my scraps. It's lovely!
